This engaging, thoughtful, political and still 'very' relevant graffiti and pop art exhibition by legendary 1980s New York artist Keith Haring is a must see.
Covering works inspired by the time and featuring some great collaborations with other amazing artists like Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, expect, vibrant, colourful, meaningful, political and recognisable pieces that will grab you from the offsetPieces range from designs for record covers, metro posters,music videos, fashion lines and of course, political & activist messages responding to key issues of the period, such as racism, homophobia & AIDS, with a plan to bring all of these issues to the forefront and to as many people as possible to spread the word.
The exhibition includes more than 85 artworks, including posters, drawings, paintings,videos and photographs, summarising 1980s New York street culture, perfectly. A modern genius for his time.
