London: An Enquiring Mind: Manolo Blahnik at the Wallace Collection

This wonderful, creative exhibition is set amongst the permanent and magnificent Wallace Collection andfeatures over 160 iconic & stunning shoes and boots all designed by the very talented Manolo Blahnik, from the 1970’s to the present day.
This retrospective celebrates 40 years of Manolo Blahniks exquisite works of art and is both eclectic and enthralling at the same time. Mingle amongst the engaging collection up close and personal and swoon over all of his gorgeous creations from across his highly acclaimed 50 year career, just wander amongst his beautiful collection that are cleverly nestled amongst the regular pieces of fine and decorative arts of the mind-blowing & glitzy permanent Wallace Collection.
The exhibition also shares insight into his early thought processes, prototypes and design moulds and many of his stunning sketches, personal photographs, films and videos of his infamous catwalk shows, featuring images of his many star studded clients, wearing many of his beautiful his creations and what’s interesting is, that its not only art that is on show here, its also his architectural genius, sculptural skills and engineering talents, to name but a few..
Manolo Blahnik is a master of what he does and this exhibition proves that, its eye opening and highly recommended.
There’s even a beautiful courtyard café in the centre of the Museum, where you pause for afternoon tea or something a little stronger, if you wish!
