Millesgården is a beautiful little secret gem hidden away on one of in Stockholm’s beautiful inhabited islands
Originally built in 1908 by sculptor Carl Milles and his wife painter Olga Milles, this romantic place is somewhere you will fall in love with the minute you enter.
Apart from the fact it was originally their home it also acts as a beautiful museum hosting an amazing collection of glorious antique with both indoor and outdoor sculpture. The landscaped garden is both peaceful and entertaining containing a full on sculpture park, beautiful terraces and divine water features and fountain, that are just glorious!
There’s paintings and sculptures from various famous worldly artists with this year’s summer collection and all shared by the Didrichsen Museum in Helsinki featuring exquisite works by the likes of Kandinsky, Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Alberto Giacometti and many, many more.
Make a day of it, there’s a shop, café and beautiful garden to hang out & relax in, it’s well worth a visit and highly recommended by www.ificould.co.uk
