The Turn of the Screw - Regent's Park Open Air Theatre
Inner Circle, London NW1 4NU
Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre comes into its own especially on a warm summers evening and is ‘always’ a pleasure to attend. This year’s summer season kicks off with the English National Opera’s production of Benjamin Britten's The Turn of the Screw.
Excellent staging and lighting encapsulates the mood completely, building on the high drama and the suspense and all topped off brilliantly by the ENO Orchestra bringing their excellent and award-winning touch to this fantastic production.
Set in the grounds of this beautiful Royal Park, the theatre grounds also offer a relaxing pre-show picnic area, should you wish to bring your own food and bubbles or of course Pimms darrrling! great quality (open air and covered) food outlets and a stunning terrace restaurant, serving everything from light to full meal options, including the obligatory British Summer institution that is strawberries and cream to top the whole ‘wonderful’ experience off.
If you have never been to the Open Air Theatre, Regents Park epitomises all that is good in this experience and on a beautiful summer evening, it’s a hard act to follow.
If you wish to participate in this show, please be quick, as it is only on for 8 days and ends on the 30th June 2018 (however, there are other shows running right up to September/October 2018)
Highly Recommended by IF.
