Berardo Collection Museum
Praça do Império, 1449-003 Lisboa, Portugal
Located in the buzzy (and touristy) area of Lisbon known as Belém, the Museu Coleção Berardo of modern and contemporary art is a large, contemporary space that’s worth a visit even if you don’t fancy actually going in.
With various exhibitions to meander & peruse (two permanents and three temporary) you will see the best modern and contemporary art collection that Portugal has to offer, featuring pieces from the likes of Warhol, Picasso, Duchamp, Dali and Bacon to name but a few.
From various activities that promote the art experience, guided tours and walks around the space, you can easily spend the day here but don’t feel you must, it’s completely up to you.
If you love the contemporary then you will love it here, its large, it’s cool and the collection is vast, there’s literally something for everyone that likes modern art.
