Tate Modern – Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power

A fabulous collection of interesting art works based around the civil rights movement of the 1960s, featuring cool posters, vibrant artworks, beautiful drawings and assorted memorabilia such as handmade murals and colourful collages.

Work that expresses a specific time in American history depicted through Art that sums up the mood of this controversial period capturing the spirit of this volatile period.

From original sculptures to revolutionary clothing designs, made with an array of unusual ingredients, this eclectic exhibition succeeds in capturing a snap shot in time, from its homages to political figures of the day such as, Luther King, Malcolm X & Warhol to the real life photographs making time stand still.
