The World of Anna Sui

Fashion and Textile Museum, 83 Bermondsey Street, London SE1 3XF

Classic American fashion designer Anna Siu’s creations depicted in this extensive and interesting exhibition at London’s wonderful Textile Museum on Bermondsey Street, SE1.

The show features a mixture of garments, textiles, embroidery, accessories, beauty products and interiors, all based on Anna’s long career as a top American fashion icon. Featuring over 100 looks from the designer’s own personal collection, her work has not been displayed as you would imagine in chronological order but rather by theme, such as Rock-n-roll, Romanticism, Pop, Punk, Cowboy , Surfer, School Girl, Hippy, Mod, Pirate and even  Marie Antoinette style, its eclectic and varied but equally fascinating.

Many of Anna’s outfits have been modelled by some the world’s most famous and beautiful models, such as Linda Evangelista, Karlie Kloss, Christy Turlington and Kate Moss to name but a few, highlighting Anna’s status in the world of fashion.

Adorned with Tiffany lampshades, lilac walls and a wide selection of Ann’s creations the exhibition space is based on her first store in Soho (NYC) giving you the perfect insight into Anna the designer.

You don’t have to be obsessed or know too much about fashion to visit this exhibition, its just great to get a glimpse into the world of one of Americas best known designers.
