Lazarus - Kings Cross Theatre

Goods Way, Kings Cross, London N1C 4UR

Weird and wonderful the perfect combination, that’s David Bowies new London production of Lazarus, based on the 1963 novel The Man Who Fell to Earth, the production is contemporary, embracing, fascinating and very thought provoking from beginning to end.

Featuring a selection of new songs especially composed for the production by Bowie before his untimely death and a collection of some of Bowies all time classis, such as Changes and Absolute Beginners, so if you wish, you can even sing a long, discreetly.

“Lazarus is based on the classic sci-fi novel The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis and centres on the character of Thomas Newton, famously portrayed by David Bowie in the 1976 film”.

The cast, sets, stage production and soundtrack are all brilliantly presented and will keep you gripped. Abstract in parts (well it is David Bowie) tender, sad and engrossing in others, the show is an explosion of talent, colour and creativity and a fitting homage to such a talented, creative and brilliant mind. A twist on your average musical, if you’re a fan of Bowie you will love it and if you’re not (why?!!!) you will love it too.
