Punkplay - Southwark Playhouse

77-85 Newington Causeway, London SE1 6BD

Back to America of the early 1980s and meet the kids who just missed the ‘real’ Punk Era, but that’s not stopping them, they still want to be rebels. Parent haters, guitar playing, beer swilling, girls loving baby punks, well that’s what they think they are but are they really!

A great little play by director Tom Hughes, that captures the spirit in which it is set. Great lead performances by the two main charters and their supporting actors and a fun alternative to what’s currently showing on the West End, alternative by choice and alternative by nature.

Punkplay is alive from start to finish with immense energy a great soundtrack and all on roller skates, what’s not to like.

Punkplay is on at Southwark Playhouse until 1st October 2016
