Stadsgårdshamnen 22, 116 45 Stockholm, Sweden
Fotografiska is photography and it does it ‘very very’ well.
The space is amazing and is set in a former Art Nouveau style building that dates back to 1906. Located in the heart of Stockholm and on the water’s edge, the views from the giant glass restaurant/café windows over the city and archipelago are exceptional!
Apparently the gallery features approximately 4 major exhibitions per year and approximately 15-20 minor exhibitions as well and that’s not all, you can also listen to concerts, take photography courses or even host your own event.
World-renowned photographers show here such as Annie Leibovitz, David LaChapelle and Herb Ritts as well as those who are not yet fully established such as Helena Blomqvist and Klara Kallstrom.
We attended an amazing exhibition by Canadian Rock Star Bryan Adams, who we must admit, we weren’t fully confident we would like until we saw his pictures, they were exquisite and an absolute pleasure to contemplate, the quality, context and approach to his work was exceptionally and a ‘MUST SEE’.
Bryan Adams Exposed: Between 18th June – 25th September 2016.
