We finally made it to Copita (yay!) its been on our list for a very long time but we have held off for a while, as you cant reserve a table and it only has high bar stool sitting, which is fine if there are only two of you (which there was this time) but with a group it can be ‘slightly tricky’ to chat (but that’s just our opinion!) Anyway, we went and we LOVED it!
The food is stunning, delicious traditional and eclectic Spanish tapas dishes done to perfection, the stuffed croquettes were perfect, the fresh scallops with delicate fennel were adorable and the succulent venison with pear and oxtail was as tender as can be and if you like desserts then it has to be their delicious smooth custard tart!
Apparently Copita was named winner at the London Restaurant Festival Awards 2012 and we can definitely see why, we loved the food here, it was bursting with flavour, they know what they are doing and they do it really, really well.
With interiors that are dimly lit, creating great ambience (cosy and buzzy) and with glossy tiles and tall wood benches the atmosphere is both friendly and fun, cant fault it, oh and there’s a large drinks menu offering an impressive wines list, some directly from boutique Spanish growers, we were told. A must!
