Kyseri

64 Grafton Way, Bloomsbury, London W1T 5DN

Younger sister to its Shoreditch branch (Oklava) this modern twist on traditional Turkish fayre ticks all the boxes and can be found just around the corner from Warren Street tube.

This stylish, comfortable and intimate venue is the ideal setting to enjoy great food prepared exceptionally well and bursting with traditional and modern flavours, with a menu apparently inspired by dishes from the city of Kayseri with the ‘a’ dropped out in order to show that Kyseri offers up Turkish dishes with a twist!

With a wide but not overwhelming selection of small plates to share (if that’s how you roll) including succulent meat dishes including lamb skewers, marinated beef with sour cherry manti and slow cooked short rib, the spiced monk fish dish was outstanding with the potato and pastirma and the Seeded sumac bread

Accompanying everything really well, all in all it was a delicious and mouth-watering selection, oh and the Prosecco went down really well with it all too, really well! And if you have any room for dessert then try the sweet-sweet honey ice cream

With an interesting wine list from producers in both Turkey and the Middle East, if you like something a bit different then you will enjoy trying them out.

This supercool, hip little Turkish delight will not disappoint, it’s a hot ticket at the moment so please book in advance to avoid any disappointment or taste bud deprivation.
