Sarona LDN, slightly understated in its exterior appearance but by no means is the food options or the interior surroundings.
Set in the heart of Clerkenwell, Sarona knows exactly what it wants to do and it does it well. Inspired by the street food of Tel Aviv this thread runs through everything that is on offer (and apparently named after one of the city’s busiest neighbourhoods)
The interiors are stylish and relaxed and add to the ambiance of your eating experience, with cool painted brick walls, designer industrial lighting fittings and a lovely high and open deep skylight feature that opens up the back of the venue beautifully.
The Middle Eastern inspired choice of mezze dishes was abundant and there was plenty of really good dishes to choice from, I think we eventually tasted them!
Everything was delicious from the home made hummus, the heritage tomato salads topped with Palestinian feta cheese, the stunning roasted chargrilled cauliflower, all of the tasty fish dishes (seabass and the smoky prawn kebabs) and the freshly baked soft pita breads, we were happy, we were stuffed and we had tahini ice cream for dessert! Yum!
Oh and a really great selection of drinks too! From the cool central bar that you can’t miss! From classic cocktails, a wide selection of world wines including Israeli growers and a selection of both Lebanese and Israeli craft beers you will be sorted, a lovely dinner in a lovely venue.
