8 Balderton Street, Brown Hart Gardens, Mayfair, London W1K 6TF
This sophisticated hotel is located right opposite a cunningly raised city garden square (Brown Hart Gardens) and sits literally right off the main hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, right in the heart of London’s West End, although you would never know, it’s so peaceful and quiet.
This beautifully restored, classy art deco inspired hotel and seamlessly time-less just oozes grandeur and style.
Why not nip in to Jimmy's Bar like we did, for an early evening cocktail or a delicious glass of bubbles and just sample the accurate vibe of a 1920s American bar, brought slap band right up to date. Of course the American Bar specialises in classy bourbons and American whiskies but there’s classic cocktails on offer too, and you can almost smell the cigars of Ernest Hemingway, F Scott Fitzgerald & Co seated in the leather bound booth right next to you.
The bars walnut covered wall are adorned with hundreds of fantastic little black and white photographs of British and American socialites and celebrities who apparently frequented this Mayfair hotel during those heady and decadent 1920s, 30s and 40s.
If you like a bit of glamour, then go on, treat yourself and experience a slice of Mayfair from those crazy, lazy, days gone by.
The Beaumont, another fantastic offering from the team behind The Wolseley and The Delaunay, who have most definitely not cut any corners, it’s all just simply stunning!
