Mc & Sons
160 Union Street, London SE1 0LN
Probably Ificould’s favourite hangout right now! An Irish boozer with a twist, what’s not to like!
Tucked away down Union Street (between Blackfriars Road and Borough) Mc & Sons looks like another old pub from the outside but that’s far from reality in-side.
Decked out with hundreds of old beautiful historic photos, pictures and artefacts, with original wooden benches, miss-matched chairs, antique tables and side tables and a gorgeous all wood original bar, its cosy, it’s cool and its very friendly.
Mc & Sons is one of those pubs that once you stumble upon it (that’s exactly what we did) you’re immediately drawn in by its warmth, eclectic atmosphere and local friendly feel, Oh! and there’s food on offer too, really good, affordable Thai Street food inspired by Chiang Mai, a city in northern Thailand and a rotational selection of delicious ales and beers.
There’s a dining room section to eat, cosy little authentic snugs and a small outside terrace, let’s hope you love iot as much as us! And if you fancy a pre-drink, they also run the near-by Kings Arms, The Ring and Jack's Bar all in the vicinity.
