Blanchette Brick Lane

204 Brick Lane, London E1 6SA

Backed by the group that bring us Salt Yard, Opera Tavern, Dehesa and Ember Yard, you already get the picture and it’s a good one!

This little slice of Paris brought to Brick lane, certainly does the trick in making you feel like you are sitting in a cosy little Parisian bistro on the banks of the Seine. The second offering from the Blanchette team, with the original mothership still situated in the back streets of Soho, this is by no means inferior and equally inspiring.

Calming but in no way dulling, it’s classy, cool and contemporary in a Parisian Belle Époque-style kinda way. Prop yourself up at marble-topped counter, adorned with pretty lampshades, overflowing greenery and foliage and start on your trip, sampling their extensive French wine list? (or beer list) there is a lot on offer.

On this occasion, we just popped in for drinks but the rustic chic French home style dining room and menu look inviting, and will be sampled in time.
