The Culpeper

40 Commercial Street, London E1 6LP

East end boozer the Culpeper is a stylish, buzzy and popular Shoreditch watering hole that’s happening on whatever night (or day) of the week you decide to frequent.

Sat right opposite the world famous Petticoat Lane Market, this attractive original Victorian inn and gastropub is a hit with the locals and visitors alike, because it does what it set out to do, providing a good social spot, to eat, drink and get merry.

With its renovated frontage, curved bar, original parquet floors and wonderful roof garden, it’s a pub that’s got it all, stylish, sophisticated and fun.

The food is good too, simple flavoursome quality dishes and made with ingredients sourced from just down the road in Old Spitafields Market.

There’s drinking, there’s dining and threes eating, all under the same roof, with a good selection of homegrown beers, real ales, craft brews by the bottle and French, Italian and organic wines, there’s even decent cocktails and mocktails if you feel that way inclined.

If you like a London pub, you will really like this pub!
