Polpo Covent Garden

6 Maiden Lane, London WC2E 7NA

Acclaimed Venetian style restaurant, POLPO (Covent Garden) offers a wide selection of really delicious small (but ‘very’ tasty) plates.

Handmade spicy meat balls, small roast potatoes, mozzarella and tomato sticks, spicy  whole prawns, fine spaghetti, Pizzettes, crab crostini, the list goes on and it’s all equally mouth-watering and the lovely friendly staff will offer you perfect choices from the bar such as prosecco, red or white wine or iced beers to accompany your delicious bite sized choices.

And if you dare, there are desserts too, of course there is tiramisu but don’t be afraid to try the Venetian ricotta doughnuts with cinnamon sugar, you know you will be back for more!

Its cosy inside giving off a lived in back street Italian rustic vibe, with its natural washed stone walls chunky wooden bench tables, raised bar seats and its funky cloth covered lighting; you will feel at home as soon as you lay your hat.

And if that’s not enough “POLPO has received the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand for the last six consecutive years”.

If you can’t get into the Covent Garden branch, do not fear, you will find other branches in Soho, Chelsea, Notting Hill and Smithfield all offering their own individual slant on their Polpo.
