105 Brixton Hill, Brixton, London SW2 1AA
The next new opening in the every changing landscape that is Brixton Foodie Heaven! Pizza Brixton adds further choice to those already available in local neighbourhood of Brixton Hill.
Featured on the stretch that the New York Times (yes the NYT) has described as “successfully eschewing the onslaught of gentrification and proving that cool doesn’t have to come with a high price tag” there you will find Pizza Brixton which fits perfectly into this into this multi-cultural, diverse and friendly neighbourhood.
We arrived early because we know people love Pizza, especially if its good and boy was it good! Offering delicious authentic Italian Pizza choices fired up in the perfectly formed wood fire oven that takes pride of place in their open plan kitchen. Beautifully clean-cut interiors, fresh, bright and stylish the atmosphere was fun and the food was good all helping you feel at home as soon as you enter.
The menu is a straight-forward Pizza menu with some interesting and traditional combinations, there’s a specials board and some tasty classic nibbles to boot (Italian olives & delicious breads) with a choice of nine pizza toppings to suit all (we went for the Italian sausage option and the Fresh Tuna, both did the trick!
There’s six wines wine choices, 3 beer choices (all from Moretti) sparkling prosecco and a choice of refreshing lemonades and soft drinks.
The vibe is mixed with a slightly more family orientated slant (it’s a neighbourhood after all) than further down the hill in central Brixton where all the hipsters hang but this place is for all and all are more than welcome.
Fun loving, helpful waitresses will take your order and even recommend what they think is good and what they think is not so good! (their own personal taste) which we found really helpful.
The restaurant was busy but if you arrive early you can just walk in a grab a table but if you want to eat after 7:00pm, you may want to reserve a table, it ended up ram-packed.
