293-295 Railton Road, Herne Hill, London SE24 0JP

This gorgeous little venue is tucked away in the corner of the quaint little (central London) village of Herne Hill. Recently renovated and re-opened under the name Llewelyn’s, this wonderfully light and refreshing space is a breath of fresh air for the local community and beyond.

Apparently a restaurant has been on this site since the Victorian times so its obviously a popular location and if your visiting in the summer, try bagging an outdoor table under the branches of the beautiful splaying tree right outside, adorable.

A bright, airy restaurant giving nod to the Art Deco area (if you look closely) offers no frills top quality food, beautifully presented and cooked by a professional team of extremely experience and talented chefs (one of Jamie's Oliver’s original Fifteen and a chef with experience from both Trullo and the wonderful Anchor and Hope in The Cut at Waterloo).

The menu features:

Breakfast, Sunday lunch and dinner are all available with prices that are reasonable and worthy in comparison to the quality of the food. With an extensive wine list (all by the glass, carafe or bottle) Cocktail list, Beer list & the Bubbles, what’s not to like.

We absolutely loved this restaurant and were very impressed with the wonderful service, gorgeous minimalist interiors and most of all the delicious well thought out beautiful selection of seasonal choices, such as tasty onglet steak, fresh whole plaice, generous braised rabbit and duck confit and the Pistachio ice-cream was orgasmic!

Llewelyn’s is a true local gem and we will be back!!
