Dishes are light, fresh and bursting with Scandinavian flavours, with a beautiful smorgasbord of taste explosions, simple, good quality ingredients stunningly presented that will have your mouth watering the minute its served up to you, offering everything more that you would expect from a top Scandinavian kitchen.
The restaurants contemporary Scandinavian design is complimented with all things Scandi from the interior to the menu and the Georg Jensen cutlery to the Filippa K staff uniforms, which all add to its top design feel.
The dishes on offer included Scandi classics such as Swedish meat balls (of course & done to perfection!) prawns Skagen (a prawn cocktail on toast) delicious black pudding, a selection of beautifully light pickled vegetables and the salt-baked onions were exquisite, with the venison & lingonberry sauces which was stunning.
A beautiful space serving beautiful cutting-edge Scandinavian food, Aquavit is well worth a visit.
