18 Market Row, Brixton, London SW9 8LD

Small little rustic diner serving top, top quality nosh. Situated upstairs (very rare for Brixton Village) in Brixton Market, directly above the amazing Cannon & Cannon charcuterie shop & deli which serves an array of wonderful and top quality produce. Salon will not disappoint, serving a choice of either the 4 or 7 course deliciously health conscious set menus (with Aperitif) and wines chosen to fit with all of your choices perfectly, this place is good, this place is very good.

Delicious selections of stunning and complex dishes will blow you away. With Its rustic and organic farm vibe and cobbled-together furniture, you feel like you have stumbled across something that’s going to impress but in a simplistic way but wait, these dishes are not simplistic, they are choc packed full of amazing and interesting ingredients, some of which you may not even of heard of before.

Walk through the deli & cute little welcoming bar (where you can have drinks before or after dinner) and head upstairs to the restaurant which has the feel of a private kitchen or even secret supper club with a lovely open plan kitchen.

The vibe is great and it’s a lovely place to hang out. A word of advice, book early, this place has limited seating and was packed out when we were there at a weekend, however, it may be easier to get in mid-week?)

The amazingly talented Chef Nicholas Balfe will personally run you through each dish in detail and explain everything you are about to experience (we say experience because that’s what it is) and such a wonderful and informative approach.

One the best meals we ’we had for a VERY long time, with it unpretentious, focus on quality and difference and cool shabby chic vibe, if you’re a foodie you won’t be disappointed.

This perfect neighbourhood restaurant comes very highly recommended
