Seven at Brixton
Market Row, Brixton, London SW9 8LB
Opened in 2010 as part of the early and revolutionary Brixton Village refurb, Seven at Brixton has become a well know and liked cocktail and tapas bar in the heart of Brixton Village Market.
Some traditional Spanish tapas dishes feature on the menu that work perfectly with the innovative and pleasing choices on the cocktail menu.
Apparently it used to be an old suitcase shop, which is reflected perfectly in some of the décor with old vintage suitcases creatively used as shelves to house the extensive spirit collection
Cool, hip, funky, you get the picture, graffiti, dragons, cartoons, artwork all grace the walls and give this place a young and fresh vibe.
You can’t turn you nose up at the £5 cocktail’s either, classics sit along new and fresh ideas and the ones we tasted did not did not disappoint (Basil Mojito & a Lady Marmalade)
If you don’t like cocktails there’s always wines and beers which can be matched perfectly with some of the quality tapas dishes (served in traditional metal billy cans) we went for the Battered Calamari , the fried whitebait and half a pint of Spanish mixed olives which were all delicious.
“Grab a board game and sit at a table, or head upstairs and embrace its unique, ever changing art concept where they showcase local artists in a maze of old period rooms”.
A true Brixton classic, try it!
