Fancy Funkin Chicken

441 Coldharbour Lane, Brixton, London SW9 8LN

Another new arrival on the culinary map for Brixton Central. Fancy Funkin Chicken is an uber stylish, cool and funky eatery to join its neighbours already populating the hustle and bustle that is Brixton’s Coldharbour Lane.

The new venture is a collaborative effort from Nathan Pattie (Co-Founder of PIX), Rollo Weeks (formerly Sketch) and Lars Larson.

The food offers a distinctive American influence but the ingredients are sourced from the local Brixton Market (nice touch). FFC serves ethically sourced, free-range, Southern American style fried chicken (fried or flame grilled) and If you like a burgers (with ‘ALL’ the trimmings) then this is the place for you, however, that’s not all they serve, you can also get free-range fried chicken, ‘Funkin Hot Wings’, ‘Funkin Funkin Hot Wings’ and if you’re feeling extra brave you can go for the ‘I Can’t Feel My Funkin Face Hot Wings’

For the interior, think highway road-side, think urban, think moody, think you’re here to eat and that’s what you’re going to do! There are some nice designer touches too, like the hand-crafted antiques and neon lighting, cosy eating booths and a garden of herbs suspended from the roof.

If you’re looking for a fun night then look no further, traditional food, cool friendly staff, unlimited cocktails/beers and a DJ playing tracks all night and making full use of the extended opening hours.

No frills , no fuss, just chicken!
