Four Hundred Rabbits

143 Evelina Rd, London SE15 3HB

Slightly off the beaten track in Nunhead (South London) but not that far from buzzy Lordship Lane in East Dulwich & the hipster neighbourhood of Peckham so it is well worth the detour if you love your sourdough pizza.

The sister restaurant to their first opening in Crystal Palace village, Four Hundred Rabbits continues to offer their trade mark sourdough pizzas accompanied by a wide selection of Craft Beers. The rotating beer menu offers a selection of beers from smaller brewers around the world and some are even sourced from closer to home

A small menu offers six pizza choices (plus two specials) all cooked at around 400° in their large centre piece yellow tiled wood fired oven. Traditional Napoli pizza recipes are given a slight twist by using British ingredients such as sourdough, organic white flour, as well as local British rye flour and there is a dessert menu too, gelupo gelato of course.

And they must be doing something right, they were shortlisted for the Restaurant & Bar Design awards 2016.
