Boundary Restaurant & Rooftop

2-4 Boundary St, London E2 7DD

An adorable rooftop bar and grill right in the heart of Shoreditch (plus designer guestrooms if you don’t want to go home!) in what was once an old Victorian warehouse.

Looking out over the rooftops of East London and a perfect location to watch the sun setting over the city, you won’t be disappointed with this spacious and buzzy rooftop surprise. Book early, its popular and there was already a que when we arrived and that was at 8:00pm.

If you’re not too keen on sitting outside in the garden terrace, exposed to the elements,  then you can always choose to sit inside-outside, as there is a gorgeous little heated and covered orangery up there too, all glass, so you still feel like your outside but more like a pagoda filled with lovely Lemon, & Clementine trees.

Choose to eat (we did) or just have a few drinks, once your seated you won’t want to move. The menu was great (small but great) with a slight Mediterranean feel, offering dishes like oysters, chargrilled steaks, sautéed fish and a good choice of mixed starters and salads.

In the winter, the terrace remains open, as it has a large open-pit fireplace which you can sit around on the lovely garden furniture, you can even order from a selection of ‘hot’ cocktails to make you even cosier whilst sitting in what they call the winter garden.
