Hallwylska (Palace)

Hamngatan 4, 111 47 Stockholm, Sweden

This beautiful, tranquil and relaxing open-air space is the perfect peaceful place to just kick-back ‘right in the middle’ of town believe it or not!

The restaurant/café & bar all sit right in the centre of this stunning palace courtyard (which also offers a fantastic Museum as well) and is often described as one of the most beautiful inner courtyards in Stockholm and who are we to argue, it is very pretty and architecturally beautiful.

Apparently the palace was built for Walther and Wilhelmina von Hallwylska (private owners) and was finally completed in 1898 and today belongs to the Swedish state, so it’s free to just stop buy, the museum has an entrance charge but the café and bar except visitors throughout the day and evening.

The perfect location for a light refreshment break (an Aperol Spritz went down very well) and a light bite to eat, right in the heart of the city, even if you don’t eat or drink, just pop in and take a look at this beautifully constructed building and just enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.
