Restaurante Acea da Costa

Rúa da Costa s/n - Parque Portovello, 32660 Allariz, Province of Ourense, Galicia

Beautiful, top end restaurant created out of the original Arnoia river mill that one stood here and still containing some original fixtures & fittings from those golden days gone by.

Now it’s modern meets rustic furniture pieces interspersed with some of its original and traditional Galician Object Art, adds to its feeling of cosiness, homeliness and an all-round friendly atmosphere rolled in to one,

Every dish we were served was exquisite, beautifully served and presented and all incorporating, local flavours into every dish.

To go with the excellent red wine, our group ordered a bit of everything to share (mixed small plates) which was a great idea, as we all got to taste everything that was on offer) and it was all really good, the traditional Cod croquettes were delicious, the Polpo (Local Octopus) with spicy leeks was gorgeous and the Cod Cheeks were just melt in the mouth and that’s before we even got to the desserts, the boozy Tiramisu went down a treat, the traditional Galician cake with homemade ice cream was super popular, and the Limon Sorbet refreshed and cleansed the pallet, just perfectly

The fact that the restaurant is situated on the banks of the beautiful flowing river and at the head of the ancient hand crafted bridge just adds to all its charm, the ambience was great, the service was attentive and the experience was very very satisfying.
