As 7 Maravilhas
Rua das Taipas 17C, 4050-280 Porto, Portugal
What a fabulous little find, slightly tucked away in a hilly backstreet of Porto old town, right in the heart of the Invicta district, we’re so happy we actually found it (we even had to go back the second night as it was fully booked on our first attempt, which we took as a good sign).
This quirky little inspired and individual restaurant just screams atmosphere and intrigue. Lined from floor to ceiling and wall to wall with trinkets and ephemera from across the world that will certainly catch your attention and keep you nicely occupied whilst you wait for your delicious combination of international dishes, presented on a retro wooden chopping board at your cute little candle-lit vintage table.
As 7 Maravilhas (The 7 Wonders) the food choices were quirky too, from Portuguese artisan breads, Greek olives, Falafels, Padron peppers, Onion Bahji’s Hungarian goulash and Swedish meatballs (to name but a few) your taste buds will take you on a wondrous journey.
There are plenty of wines, beers (77) whisky’s & Lassi’s to choose from too, international along with traditional Portuguese classics and all of the favourite Ports. of course.
This weird and wonderful little venue was a delight, it’s always lovely to try something a bit different and this most certainly was that, for all the right reasons of course, if you like something a little different don’t hesitate, IF recommended.
