The Decadente

R. São Pedro de Alcântara 81, 1250-238 Lisboa, Portugal

This place is just fabulous & actually feels a little retro decadent but not in a pretentious or fake way, more of a cool and sophisticated kind of way.

The Decadente restaurant and bar is the perfect place to eat, drink and relax, with a certain vintage meets contemporary elegance that suits a desired laid back vibe; you can eat (really well) drink (really well) and talk the night away (to your hearts content)  all in the comfort of this charming and calming environment.

Eat dinner, drink wine or just take a cocktail, it’s all doable here in what was once the Swiss Ambassador's former residence, I’d even go so far as to say, this is a must whilst visiting Lisbon & they even have a roof top bar, with views to die for (just next door in another section of this extensive and charismatic building).

Using a wide combination of national flavours that brings out the best in their top quality food, it promotes local dishes perfectly, you can have no doubt that your dinner will be a success.

And… after dinner, you can relax on the patio or in the super cool bar up front, both serving a very wide selection of ‘whatever you fancy’!

It would be hard not to be impressed by this venue, it’s just got it! and is one of my all-time favourite Lisboa haunts, which I will definitely visit when next in town and the next and the next! It’s just classy and it’s right in the heart of the Barrio Alto (Príncipe Real neighbourhood).
