Pasteis de Belém

R. de Belém 84-92, 1300-085 Lisboa, Portugal

Probably one of the most iconic places (café/bakery) to visit whilst in Lisbon for their internationally renowned pastry tarts, better known as the un-resistible Pastel de Nata (mini sized egg tarts).

Eat Pastéis de Nata for breakfast, lunch, dinner or till your hearts content (most do!) and enjoy one of the most famous desserts in the world, in the place of its origin and originally made by nuns in convents, were even now the recipe remaining top secret.

If you’re taking them away be prepared to queue as this place is mega popular with locals and tourists alike, however, if you want to sit in, you can jump the que and enter by the side where you will reduce your wait by a minimum of at least 30 minutes! No brainer!

Go, enjoy, it’s the law!
