La Prosciutteria Bologna

Via Guglielmo Oberdan, 19/a, 40125 Bologna, Italy

Fabulous authentic meat and cheese charcuterie that we happen to find by accident, but boy we’re we glad we did! ‘Exceptional’ local sliced meats, cheeses, salads and all of accompaniments and all served up on the most GIGANTIC authentic wooden platter board’ that just seem to go on forever (thankfully)

Can’t stress enough how good the food was here and not only that, the atmosphere was vibrant, local, electric, alive and lots of fun all at the same time.

La Prosciutteria is place you dream of finding on holiday, authentic, affordable and loved by the locals (and now us!) fantastic atmosphere and even better local food.

A place you can sit for hours, just grab yourself a corner (you may have to share it but that’s the fun of it) and eat and drink amazing local wines (flat or sparkling) to your hearts content.

The staff here are amazing fun, exceptionally helpful and you can tell they love working here, which creates the magic you feel in this place, always happy to advise and give insider tips on what to choose and what to drink (should you request it) you can’t go wrong.

If you’re re lucky enough to get in (the locals were queuing out onto the street) then do it!! You will not be disappointed but if you don’t get a table inside, there’s always the quirky but popular super-miniature table and chairs right outside, if there not taken already too.

Highly recommended, one the best places to eat and Bolognian specialities in all of Bologna.
