Merica

Klobučnícka 485/6, 811 01 Bratislava, Slovakia

Tucked away on the very edge of the old town (you will need to hunt it down) Merica is cool, its relaxed, light, bright and airy and serves really great breakfasts at really great prices!!

Merica was once an old industrial building and part of the historical Old Market Hall, where the Saturday market is held weekly.

With its beautiful décor, not too far off from a cool 1940s movie set, its friendly staff (the owners) who serve up you exactly what need and large tasty breakfast plates that will leave completely fed and watered, fully contented and all set up for the long day ahead.

We took the early cooked breakfast (Ham, sausage, eggs, sunny-side up and tomatoes) which was delicious, but we believe they also do a mean brunch (from fresh sweet and salty waffles, breakfast burrito with avocado, various styles of eggs or muesli with fresh fruit salads) we were told they were amazing and having experienced their scrummy breakfast, we can see why and apparently this place has cult status Bratislava.

Mercia, very well worth a stopover for the most important meal of the day!
