Chez Ta Mère

4 Rue des 2 Ponts, 44000 Nantes, France

A divine little local found right the heart of Nantes, it’s what you would expect when dreaming of a gorgeous little French local.

Delicious, simple and generous home cooked food is served up from the tiny little family kitchen with a massive emphasis on "home cooked".

The menu is simple, very simple with only a handful of dishes available, but they are all cooked fresh on the day and all using the finest of locally sourced ingredients, there were homemade terrines, crisp salads, delicious quality steaks, succulent roast chicken, seafood risotto and Lamb stews and all accompanied by the freshest of local vegetables

The dessert has the homemade touch also, and seemed to go down a treat with all of the restaurant punters, the white cheese mousse seemed very popular, we went for the cheese plate, a coffee and the gourmet tea and we were not disappointed at all.

This gorgeous little oldie worldly spaces is adorned with cute little trinkets and beautiful family portraits giving that cosy home from home feel and that’s exactly what they want to portray and it works and if you don’t want to (or can’t get a table) to sit indoors there’s always Al fresco. Cute on top of cute.
