Freddy Fuego Burrito Bar
Hausmanns gate 31a, 0182 Oslo, Norway
A really great Mexican style restaurant with a cool modern vibe and serving up top quality Burritos (the fresh meat fillings & vegetarian choices were all delicious!) or choose from one of their super fresh salad boxes, just stand at the counter and pick you’re own fillings, the sky’s the limit.
With its simple but super cool décor (the giant hand painted image of Freddy is superb!) long ‘sharing’ wooden benches and its fresh, bright and airy atmosphere, this place gives what you would want, really tasty South American food and a fully rounded belly.
After chatting with Cathal (the very friendly Dublin born Irish owner) and learning about his quirky concept for this great little Latin American eating joint conjured up after his extensive travels around Mexico, we learned that Freddy Fuego was actually a fabulous ‘imaginary’ character dreamed up by Cathal based on his love for retro theatrical Mexican wrestlers from days gone by.
This great little atmospheric food bar, playing good music, will give you lunch or dinner at very fair price, food bursting with flavour, spice and salsa! And all in a modern, contemporary and ambient setting, if you like Burritos, then you will love Freddy’s.
